Locavore!

In my quest to complete #12 in my list of things I am doing (see entry below), I am happy to figure out that Local Harvest Grocery is not far from where I live at all! And maybe one day Winslow's Home will open and The List Maker can get farm fresh food that I helped to plant. Crazy, no?

Double shift

Yesterday I pulled my first double shift. I went to Winslow's Farm from 7:00a to 11:30a, and then went to The Farm at Kraut Run from 11:30a - 2:30p. It was so much fun. I love working at both farms because they provide me with two very different organic experiences. Winslow's Farm is interesting to me because of the farmers markets and the store opening up. I love working with Chris Wimmer because he really is serious about teaching me the methods of organic farming. He explains everything and even gave me literature to read at home.
Today I woke up and worked the clayton farmers market for Winslow's. It was SO much fun. We sold A LOT and it was just really fun to talk to peple (and my family came out as well.) I brought home about 4 pounds of tomatoes and 12 stems of flowers that I will be taking out to my momma at the alpaca ranch later today.
